Oversized, Overweight, or Won’t Fit
What is Out of Gauge Cargo?
Any cargo that cannot be loaded into a six-sided shipping container is classed as Out of Gauge Cargo or, OOG. That is a shipment that cannot fit within the standard dimensions of a 20ft or 40ft shipping container or is oversized, overweight, or that won’t fit on a standardised truck?
Out of Gauge cargo (OOG) is also cargo that cannot be loaded onto a standard vehicle because its dimensions ie height, width and length are too big. Alternatively, if the weight is too great, or even a combination of both.
With our extensive experience, advanced infrastructure, and logistics expertise, we ensure the seamless and secure transportation of oversized cargo to its destination on time, every time.

Out of Gauge Cargo transport is never simple and is often challenging. That’s where TQ’s experienced team come in to their own.
OOG typically applies to industrial-sized machinery, plant equipment, long metal goods and various building equipment.
Overly large, bulky or difficult to contain shipments require expert solutions with some clever thinking and site surveys. It’s also beneficial to know the local language and localised customs knowledge.
